Dear
Editor,
and the Good people of the State of Mississippi:
In reference to the MS
Court of Appeals to rule on the TYLER EDMONDS CASE………..
I sincerely would like
to hope and speak to the good people of Mississippi,
that
YOU
will
never forget TYLER EDMONDS, and those who support
him, to please SPEAK UP in his defense, make your voices
heard for
this child and the injustices bestowed upon him, clearly
“influenced” by
his sister, whom he loved, respected very much, believing
and looked up
to her.
To try and sentence a
13 yr old boy AS AN ADULT, to life in prison with possibly
parole at 65 is CRUEL and INHUMANE.
"In Mississippi, the law is that if you commit a crime
that carries
life (sentence), and you use a deadly weapon and you're
13 or
over, you're an adult," Clark said.”
This is gross
negligence of our nation’s
children! In
the present day laws all across this nation, children
cannot be an adult, they just do not have
the brain development yet, and are still growing until
in their early twenties. Why does this nation have a
“juvenile justice” system, if authorities
are not going to use it for
it’s
nation’s juveniles?
ALL children under the
age of 18 are JUVENILES, by state statures, except in a
few states.
Tyler’s sentencing was in fact a direct “violation”
of
the constitutional
amendment rights in reference to CRUEL AND INHUMANE
TREATMENT.
EA judge who was so
clearly biased in this case and his dislike of the defense
attorney,
EA judge who DENIED this
child justice, by NOT allowing the defense attorney
to present
expert testimony
so pertinent and crucial
to
Tyler’s case.
EA
judge that told this child “I think she (Kristi
Fulgham)
led you into something you didn't want to
do,
now you've got to live with it."
The judge’s statement above “indicates” this child “was”
“influenced” by an ADULT, his sister.
A day must come to this
child, for truth and justice, to come forth and
set this child FREE to
go home to his mother where he belongs!!!!
The
victims in this case are certainly not forgotten, but
Tyler, a child of
only 13
yrs of age, was also, indeed a "victim",
a victim of
“injustice!”
The
voice of Mississippi must be heard in the name of justice
for
this “child”

Thank you for reporting on the
case of Tyler Edmonds who is a CHILD convicted as an
ADULT! With
his case nearing appeal on
December 13th, l am hopeful that people of the good
state of Mississippi
will support the unfair
sentencing of sending children to lifelong sentences
and urge their legislators to adjust juvenile laws
accordingly.

TYLER APPEAL LETTER
Date:
Saturday, November 12, 2005
7:38 AM
From: Katy Porter
******************************************************************************
On December 13,
2005 the appeals court of Mississippi will hear
arguments on why Tyler Edmonds case should be
overturned or retried. Here are some of the facts
why this is taking place:
Tyler Edmonds was
influenced by his 26 year old, step-sister to admit
killing his brother-in-law.
Tyler was taught to
respect and trust his elders. Tyler was a good
student and never in trouble of
any kind.
A supposed forensic
expert tainted the jury by saying “two people pulled
the trigger”. That is impossible to determine. The
jury, found Tyler guilty of being at the scene of
the crime, Not committing the act. The jury
was not properly instructed as to what would happen
to Tyler if he
was found guilty
and they were shocked at the sentence he was given.
This Child
was convicted
due to judge's dislike for the defense attorney.
Tyler would not have been convicted if the judge had
allowed the defense the REASONABLE request to
present a false confession expert. There has been
no proper evidence gathering done, what-so-ever. No
gun was found, no testing done to show powder
residue on Tyler. No investigation done in Gulf
Port, MS or at the Walmart where the deceased was
seen the day after he was supposed to have been
killed.
People of Mississippi, don’t let this child’s life
be wasted. An injustice has been done. An injustice
needs to be corrected and this child needs to go
home to his mother.
Respectfully Submitted

Dear Editor and the
People of Mississippi,
I am writing in
reference to the upcoming (December 13, 2005) MS
Court of Appeals ruling on the Tyler Edmonds case.
I appeal to the people of Mississippi to look into
this case. This case is a miscarriage of
justice!!! Tyler was tried as an adult at the age
of 13 and sentenced to life in prison without the
possibility of parole until age 65!!! This sentence
is cruel and inhumane,!!! He has no previous
criminal history and a record as a good kid with
absolutely no history of violence. Tyler
was coerced by his
older half-sister (Kristi Fulgham- 26 at the crime
date) to make a false
confession saving
her from potential capital punishment for the crime
she committed (murdering
her husband in cold
blood). Tyler had only wanted to see his Father
during the weekend he spent with her in May, 2003.
He had complete trust, love, and faith in this
woman. Tyler had no comprehension of the
Mississippi legal system or a full understanding of
his Miranda Rights when
he made his
confessions. He was not allowed a false confession
expert during his trial. However, the prosecution
was allowed the testimony of a pathologist who gave
an inaccurate and baseless opinion regarding how the
crime weapon was fired. The actual weapon was never
found or
presented during
the trial. There was no physical evidence to show
he was involved in this
crime. Further,
Tyler had neither the motivation nor the capacity at
13 years old to carry out
this heinous
crime.
I raise my voice
and beseech the People of Mississippi to take
another look at this case.
Please raise your
voice to the leaders of this state to right the
wrong done to this child.

TYLER APPEAL LETTER

******************************************************************************
This letter is in reference to the Mississippi
Court of Appeals decision to hear oral arguments
in the case of Tyler Edmonds. First off, it is
highly unfortunate that Tyler Edmonds was tried as
an adult, convicted of murder, and sentenced to
life in prison to begin with. He was only 13 years
old at the time of his arrest, and he had never
had any discipline problems let alone a criminal
record. He was under the DIRECT influence of an
adult whom he was very close too to confess to a
crime he had no motive to commit.
The judge presiding over the case refused to allow
the defense to present an expert on false
confessions, though he allowed the prosecution and
state pathologist to give completely
inaccurate information that directly led to the
conviction of Edmonds. Furthermore, the judge had
an
intense dislike for the defense attorney. Does
this sound like justice to you?
This child was not tried as an adult because he
was troubled, dangerous, or even guilty. He was
tried as an adult because it gave the prosecution
some much needed publicity. The core of this
case touches into the basis of court tyranny
against civilians. In my opinion, it will go down
as one
of
the most tragic instances of court corruption in
history. Several high officials decided to play
God with an innocent child's life, and he's been
in prison for nearly three years because of it.
However,
the chance has come to reverse the unimaginable
damage that the courts have inflicted upon Tyler
Edmonds. I only pray that the Mississippi Court of
Appeals will respect truth and justice, and save
this boy's life.
Sincerely,
Andrea White

Dear Editor:
I am writing to you on
behalf of Tyler Edmonds, a 13 year old child that
was tried and convicted as
an adult and given
life without parole. First, 13 is not an adult, a
13 year old child can not drive,
drink, enter into a
contract, vote or join the armed service.
They are never adults! Second, Tyler
confessed to a crime that he did not commit
because his sister, the real perpetrator,
convinced
him that as a minor he
would not receive a harsh sentence if sentenced at
all ,where as she being
an adult would be
given a long prison sentence.
Tyler loved his sister
and believed her plus being an innocent child, one
that had never been in trouble, was trusting. He
later recanted his statement. Third, Tyler was not
given a fair trial!
Tyler gave law
enforcement three (3) different statements and the
judge only let in the most
damaging one.
The judge also would not allow the defense to put
on a renowned expert on false confessions.
Lastly, the
prosecution's expert witness claimed that two
people pulled the trigger?!!!! I will never
understand how any jury could buy that! It
defies logic! There was absolutely nothing
about the
Tyler Edmonds case
that had anything to do with justice from the
arrest to the conviction.
Tyler Edmonds deserves
a new trial! Tyler Edmonds deserves his
freedom!
