Imagine raising your child to the best of your abilities with wholesome family values and principles only to find out that one day, that same child in his/her adult years makes a destructive choice – knowingly – which results in ultimate disaster. This child is Amy’s daughter, the biological mother of Lizzie and Nathan. Due to her daughter’s wrong choices in life, Amy and Ronnie have actively taken personal responsibility in protecting their grandkids Lizzie and Nathan by having them removed from a home of molestation and abuse. From August of 2002 – August 2004, Amy and Ronnie were the kinship foster/adoptive grandparents to Lizzie and Nathan under state custody until that one horrific day -- 13th of August, 2004 -- when their grandchildren were forcibly taken away by Oklahoma DHS without warrant.

In Amy’s words in an email to Annie Armen on January 03, 2005

“We sign adoption papers. They come back every thing is ok. Two weeks before the adoption papers became final, the CPS agent comes to my home unannounced. She talks to my babies in their rooms with the door shut. She leaves. The next morning she comes with an old caseworker and two armed police and they bust in my home without warrant, and while I call my attorney, the caseworker chases my children through my home, out back door, and drags them to my front yard and her truck. The police would not let me go to them. They take off with my babies. . I wasn't allowed to say goodbye. I haven't seen or heard from Lizzie and Nathan since. That was Aug. 13, 2004. I want my babies home. They were moved 6 times in three months to foster homes. In October of 2004, my grandson spent his 5th birthday overdosed on medication, placed in a foster home with an accused abuser. The new caseworker testified she couldn't wake him up, and she left him there!!!”

After CPS put me through Hell, after I learned that evil things do

happen to good people on levels I never thought imaginable, I now live

with new fears.  If one of my Son's friends knocks on the door, we all jump.  If a car pulls into our yard, we all rush to the window and try not

to shake while we hope it's not CPS.  When we answer the phone, and

the formal question is presented, "Is this Mr. or Mrs. Roberts?" we try not to hyperventilate.  It's either CPS or a telemarketer.  When we find out it's a telemarketer, it takes several hours to bring our heart rates under control.  When we find out that it's CPS, we can't stop shaking for days.  It's how we live now, and even my children have to fear getting pulled out

of class again and interrogated whenever they are called to the office through the intercom."

“I just tried to watch the videos we took of my visits with my baby Charles in the cold, and heartless walls of a cps office - from the time he was only a few months old clear up until he was nearly 10 months old - it broke my heart - he was dying, literally in front of my eyes and they never said a word to me, they pretended he was fine - knowing he was close to death. If it's the last thing I do, I will fight with every damn breath I have, until I die to make sure they pay for everything they did to my baby, my other children, and my own life and I won't rest until I know for sure, not one more family will ever suffer the same kind of hell CPS put us through - ever again. I can't give up, I won't give up - no matter what.

I am filled with sadness, tears pouring down my face as I watched only a small part of my baby’s life captured on a damn video - once a month during my baby's most critical time in life - as he was fighting for each breath - held hostage in the hands of evil monsters, the devil himself trying to destroy all the love our family shared.  I couldn't even watch more than a few minutes of it - had to shut it off - the pain was too great, the anger too much to let out at one time.  As I heal from the destruction CPS caused in my life, I must share with you the good parts that are shining through right now as I write this - I need you to know what I feel inside - right now- as I purge the poison out slowly each day - so that I can be the best me I can be - and my kids can feel safe and secure knowing that their mom never gave up, never quit and would fight to the death to save them from anything that ever tries to hurt them, no matter how big, how far or how long it took.

from my heart:

"I can't thank you enough for all you do to make many voices heard and count. You've given many so much more than most have ever been blessed with - far more than their own families ever bothered to give-if they bothered at all. A gift that words can never fully express! The journey of Brian York is one of HEART, determination, persistence, courage, truth, all capped with the highest force of all – UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! Despite health challenges of epilepsy, death threats, ending up homeless for a while due to death threats, and last but most painful – the legal kidnapping of his son Jaymes York-Eck by Jaymes’ mother Stephanie Eck since February of 2004, who knowingly defied a court order granting equal visitation rights to both parents, Brian will NEVER give up his fight to reunite with his son.

Brian York states: “I love my son so much that I will NEVER stop fighting for him despite the fact that walking away would just be ‘easier.’ I could not live with myself if I didn’t fight for him. The thought of him ever coming back in to my life and asking, ‘Daddy didn’t you love me? Didn’t you want me?’ gives me strength to fight and I will be able to say yes and prove it with what I have done.”

There are many documented cases where one parent may act with vengeance, and go through cleverly master minded schemes to get back at the other parent, under the guise of “in the best interest of the child”, when in reality, it is “in the best interest of deepening his/her cash pockets.” This is not the case for Brian York. All Brian wants is his son, to see his son, to take care of his son Jaymes, who is also epileptic. Everyday his son spends time away from his father who is an experienced survivor of epilepsy for over 39 years, is a day where his son’s life is endangered.
