I am calling out the elderly because it's TIME to expose
ELDERLY ABUSE on multiple fronts
and I
will be dedicating MANY SHOWS in support of them. As many
of you know, I treasure
my grandmother, and my promise
to her since age 10 was to give a
voice to the voiceless -
this time giving a voice to the
elderly - our silent treasures! Meet my
treasure,
my
grandmother Noyemik Armen.
I am calling out those of you who
are or were registered nurses taking care of the elderly, to help
me expose the truth on what REALLY goes on behind closed
doors in nursing
homes; I'm calling out parents, teens, children who have
a lot to share
about their grandparents as an honorary tribute; I'm
calling out to sacrificial widowers who live with their
children, forsaking earthly fun, relationships, marriage
- YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE; I'm calling out to VETERANS who
fought for our country yet forgotten; Last but MOST
DEFINITELY NOT LEAST, I'm calling out to grandparents
who have suffered and heartwrenchingly continue to
suffer emotional, psychological, and physical abuse who
have yet to be heard, but continue to remain silent for
unconditional reasons to keep peace within their homes
until their passing, yet continue to suffer WITHIN in
their SELFLESS silence, carrying deep inside, COUNTLESS
YEARS OF EMOTIONAL POISON -- enough to kill any one
human being - yet tossed aside to quacks for brutal
diagnoses, knowing very well that they will be drugged
to a vegetated state!
Please remember - we, the adults of the world will reach
the age of maturity (50's and up) as well, and it is time
that WE UNITE and give a VOICE TO THE VOICELESS -- TO
OUR ELDERLY -- to ignite light and HOPE in their hearts
WHILE THEY ARE IN THE LIVING, not just after
their death; to show our elderly that their teachings of
WISDOM did not and will not go to waste; that they are
our heavenly treasures on earth who we must cherish with
all our hearts and souls; that they are the innocent --
on the opposite extreme of our children -- who need to
be heard, as opposed to tossed aside like yesterday's
tissue paper, and treated with ignorance, if lucky with
conditional love out of duty, like "old farts," "has
beens," as they have been labeled for years, whose
voices painfully don't matter and kept under the carpet;
who are persecuted, tortured day
in and
day out for countless years, and no one hears about it,
or cares to hear about it!
THIS ANGERS AND DISGUSTS ME BEYOND WORDS, AND I, Annie
Armen, WILL MAKE
SURE
THAT IF NOTHING ELSE, WITH and through AAL Talk Radio,
Grandparents together
with
children will be my PRIORITY! Simply SICKENS ME how our
elderly is abused, placed
in
bondage, drugged up, and yet we the adults think we are
caring for them -- that's complete
B.S.
and those of us who care know it!
THIS DEMONIC TREATMENT OF OUR ELDERLY NEEDS TO STOP, and
again, we must remember that one day, WE TOO will reach
the age of maturity beyond 50's, 60's, and if we
the
adults, don't take the time to take good care of our
heavenly treasures, our elderly, our grandparents with
love, then WE DESERVE THE SAME MERCY, and have no one
else to
blame
but ourselves!
The irony in all this is that our elderly forgive their
persecutors and pray consistently for their
inner
healing. Perhaps, WE ALL CAN LEARN and take
example from our elderly instead of holding grudges and
acting out with anger, revenge, and all the destructive
seeds we the adults
are
capable of under the sun.
For clarification purposes, when I say "we", "our" and
such, I am speaking in general terms,
not
referring to any one person specifically.
It's
TIME FOR SOUL CLEANSING, and we must reach out to
our elderly IMMEDIATELY,
WHILE
THEY ARE IN THE LIVING!
Grandparents - YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU - it's not
important you and I have never met - but 'till the last
day I breathe on this earth - beginning with my
grandmother - YOU WILL HAVE A LIFETIME VOICE WITH ME AND
THROUGH ME, AND A PERMANENT HOME ON
AAL!
Your hearts are treasured in me as the mother of AAL,
with AAL, and through AAL.
Please… come forward. I assure you, the pearls you will
be sharing on the air, I will fight to keep ALIVE for as
long as I live. You, the elderly, are at the opposite
extreme of our children, who are voiceless, who
represent the innocent, suffering years of persecution
for the sake of your grandchildren, your loved ones.
I cannot explain in mere words, but I can feel your
hearts right now as I type this letter, although I've
never met you, and I will honor you ABOVE ALL others
because you are our heavenly treasures on this earth,
and I long for your voices to be heard, and to cherish
you while YOU
ARE HERE WITH US!
I want the AAL Dream Children and Teens, the entire AAL
Family Network, together with me to LEARN from you, from
your teachings, from your pearls of wisdom.
Again, it's not important you and I have never met -
know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE, that I cherish you wherever
you are, I am hearing you as I type, and carry all of
you in my heart always, beginning with my
grandmother!
Please.. come forward, BE HEARD -- I am calling out to
you and will be dedicating many programs in honor of YOU! Remembering the
past as I write this in tears: I was
always calling a valued grandparent every Thursday
during my 3 hour drive to San Diego to push her to pop
up on AAL before going LIVE on the air. At the time,
did not know why, but trusted the voice within. The
name of this valued grandparent is Dora Meccia.
If you hear her tribute, you will understand
why I
was being guided by the voice within, and you will
understand why I am reaching out to
you
NOW! This was one, of if not the MOST IMPORTANT tribute
I've ever done. I will NEVER
let our
Dora's voice go in vain, as I will NEVER let your voices
go in vain, as
I AM my
grandmother's voice!
Please spend the time and pay your respect to
Dora Meccia,
a tireless child advocate, who
worked
behind the scenes for NO applause, but only out of
unconditional love for children,
having
seven grandkids of her known. Help me keep her VOICE
ALIVE by listening to her
audio archives,
and by posting her tribute page to all your sites,
especially grandparents with websites --
simply NO excuse not to!
